The Auckland Press finds a permanent supply off copy in the famous Rangiriri Hills and the road over them. But there is another side to the question,- as was pointed out to us by a resident in that part of the Waikato County. The land of the hills is of poor quality, its valuation is low, and the amount of rates derived from it small. The present road is quite good enough for the settlers to get their goods to and from the railway. As our informant put it, “If the Auckland joy-riders want a good road over the Rangiriris, let them • pay for it. The Rangiriri coskies have enough to do to keep the road as it is. It does their work.” That is the position in a nutshell.— Ngaruawahia Advocate.
