HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Cp-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At Hamilton on Tuesday Last we ha:l a moderate yarding of Isheep and cuttie, but pigs were in considerable quantity. The demand for fat sheep was good, wethers selling from 30s to 32s lOd, ewes 24s Id. Beef also sold under • good ■■ competition, and values advanced a little on the previous week. Steers made £7 14s to £8 : cows, best, for £4 10,s to £5 18s, the va'ue per 100 for well finished lots being equal to 20s; medium cows made from £3 5s to £4 ss, forward sorts from £2 to £2 17s 6d; store cows £1 5s to £1 15s ; small lots of yearling heifers from 32s 6d to £2 ; calves from 7,s to 17s, according to quality. The supply of fat pigs was large, and keen competition existed to the conclusion. Baconers made from £3 to £3 19s ; porkers £2 7s 6d to £2 17s 6d, unfinished sorts 35s to £2 ss: slips 20s ito 31s 6d ; weaners 7.s 6d to 15s.
