NEXT WEEK’S EVENT. The 25th annual show of the Hauraki A. and P. Association is to be held on Wednesday and Thursday of next week in the Paerpa Domain. Given favourable Weather conditions there is no reason why the success of the show s.hould not surpass its predecessors. Paeroa, being the natural geographical centre of a very large and prosperous dairying area, which is also admirably suited for heavy production, the exhibition of stock should be comparable in quality with anv to be .seen in other districts in ■Now Zealand: Fortunately no reproach upon this score can be levelled against this district, and the Hauraki A. and P. Association has been able, throughout its progressive career, to point with pride to a record of advance in conformity with the advancement of the district. As is to be expected in a district chiefly utilised for dairying, the strongest representation will be found in the various classes, devoted to milch stock, though in the sections occupied by that most necessary animal on any farm—the horse —a good collection is anticipated, whilst the liberal prize monev offered by the association for competition in the riding and driving events is inducing a. large number of competitors to enter their animals, ensuring largo fields of equines. There will also I e ether attractions of a varied nature, including a monster baby show on the second day, and the public can be assured of an enjoyable and interesting outing. No efforts are being spared by the president and secretary, assisted by other officials, and this year’s show it is confidently expected will in many respects eclipse aD former efforts, meritorious though they have been
