POLICE COURT.

TO-DAY’S SITTING. (Before Messrs B. Gwilliam and W. F. North, J’s.P.) George Scothern, who was arrested by Constable McClinchy for alleged breaking and entering the Farmers Union Trading Company’s business premises in Belmont Road, Paeroa, jon the 7th inst., is appearing before the court to-day. There are two charges preferred against him, one of breaking and entering and one of using gelignite. The accused is represented by Mr E. W. Porritt, and Senior Sergeant O’Grady is appearing on behalf of the Police. Inspector F. G. Wohlmann, of Hamilton, and the fingerprint expert from Wellington, are also present. There are seven witnesses for the Crown, and the case will last all day. A full report will appear in our Monday s issue.
