METHODIST CHURCH.
SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. The Paeroa Methodist Sunday School celebrated its anniversary in the Central Theatre on Sunday last. All the services were well attended, ant! the singing of the children, assisted by the choir, was excellent, and reflected great credit on the conductor, Mr E. Morgan, and the organist, Mr Rickard. Valuable assistance and enjoyable music was supplied by an orchestra comprising Mrs Hall, Mis- B. Jones, and Mr C. H. Wells (violins), and Messrs Brock and Martin (cornelts). Solos were rendered by Misses B. Butler and B. Davidson and Masters C P Hayward and E. Robins. The first psalm was recited by Master G. Gamble. The services throughout were conducted by the Rev. A. E. Jefferspn, the address in the morning being taken fro.n Genesis 4'2-22, “Do not sin against! the child.” In the afternoon an illustrated address to the children was delivered, the text being taken from John, 14-G. The theatre was well filled ih the evening, when Rev. Jefferson delivered a stirring address to the young mon and women, the text being taken from Proverbs, 1-10, "My son, if sinners entice consent itho* not,”
