ALLEGED THEFT.

HIKUTAIA STATION ENTERED. JIGGER TAKEN. William McGrath, .working for John Corbett, farmer, Hikutaia, was arrested at Morrinsville to-day. It is alleged that last night he entered the jigger shed at the Hikutaia Railway station by forcing open the lock and taking the ganger’s jigger. Constable McClinchy was notified early this morning and was soon on the scene. After making inquiries ne learnt that McGrath, was was o.n licenced service, was missing. Thinking that he had gone Te Aroha wav, the constable communicated with the Te Aroha police, and also Morrinsville, with the result that McGrath was arrested at Morrinsville and will be remanded to appear at Paeroa.
