OBITUARY.
MRS. MARY SHEEHAN. The band of the old pioneers is gradually diminishing, and on Thursday last one of the earliest settleis of this district, passed away in the person of Mrs Mary Sheehan, of Rotokohu, Paeroa, at the good old age of 71 years.. Born at Limerick, Ireland, the deceased lady came out to the colony and settled at the Thames, wl'.ere she wa,s married to Mr John Sheehan in ,1870. Three years later she came to Paeroa, and eventually settled at Rotokohu, where her home has been ever since. - She was of a retiring disposition, and very highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends,, especially those of the earlier days of this town. Widpwed some twentyseven years ago she reared a family of eight sons and six daughters, a record to be proud of. Six sons and six daughters are left to mourn the loss of a loving and patient mother, whose life was a sacrifice to those she held so dean
