PERSONAL.
The friends of Mr R. W. Evans will be glad to hear that he has received word that both his sisters in Christchurch, who for the past three weeks have been seriously ill with the more severe type of now out of danger. In the case of Miss Alice Evans t,he recovery is considered remarkable, as fol- nearly a fortnight her condition was such that the doctors could not give any encouragement to the hope that her life might be saved.
