The Detective stories in the Jbne number are a fine assortment of crimes and their detection. The outstanding feature is “ The Great Detective Scandal,” by W. Teigmouth Shore. The “Strand” for July contains, amongst an exceptionally good lot of stories, the third instalment of Ethel M. Dell’s powerful love story, “ Tetherstones.” An article of interest to golfers is from the pen of Cyril J. H. Tolley,, which describes the secrets of long driving.
