RECRUITING CAMPAIGN.
VISIT BY NAVAL OFFICER. ADDRESS ON TUESDAY NEXT. The local office of the Defence Department has received advice of tfie visit of Master-at-Arms C. Hutchings (W.O), of the Royal Navy, at present attached to the H.M.S. Philomel, of the New Zealand Royal Navy Division, Master-at-Arms Hutchings is due to arrive in Paeroa on Tuesday. He is conducting a recruiting campaign throughout, the Auckland province. He will address the senior cadets at the Drill Shed on Tuesday at, 7.30 P-m., when the terms and conditions of appointment to the Royal Navy will be explained and recruits enrolled. W.O. Hutchings has a distinguished war record to his credit. The general public, and especially young people, are particularly asked to attend it the Drill Hall. The address is bound to be full of interest,, and it is seldom that the public of Paeroa has rhe opportunity of otbaining first-hand information of the doings of the “Silent Service.’
