Weldon’s Ladies’ Journa 1 is the best authority on fashion, and the April number has all the new styles charmingly illustrated and fully described. The gratis patterns enclosed are for a smart coat and skirt, a French afternoon dress, ad a tailored blouse. There is a gratis transfer blouse. Also a gratis transfer design derie anglaise suitable for working linen, etc. This journal also contains a host of other useful information. The April number of Weldon’s Bazaar of Children’s Fashions comprises all the latest and prettiest designs for children of all ages. The gratis patterns enclosed are for girl's short coat 16 to 18 years, school and party frock, boy’s raglan coat and hat, with simple directions for cutting out and making up. Pretty party and dance frocks., fancy costumes, practical school coats and dresses, tailored coats and skirts, house frocks and playtime overalls, simple confirmation dresses, new fashions for tiny tots, charming styles for frocks, coats, and lingerie for girls of 14 to 20 years, eitc. The Royal . Magazine, February number, which we have just, received, is a budget of distinction in this class of literature. The cover is a remarkable work of art in colour, and among the literary fare we find stories by Robert Chambers, Rosita Forbes, W. L. George, Stephen Leacock, W. Heath Robinson, Seymour Hicks, etc. An outstanding item is a gripping article by Gordon Street, entitled “The Girl of To-day.’’ The whole magazine is profusely illustrated throughout.
