Mr D. Buchanan, of Tiakitahuna (says the Manawatu Times) has a unique relic in his possession, which is claimed to be six hundred years old; It is a wallet made from deerskin. The workmanship is crude, but strong, and could it speak the wallet would no doubt tell many a story of adventure in the highlands of Scotland, whence it came. This interesting reminder of the past has. been handed down through many generations in Mr Buchanan’s family.
