"AUSSIE.”

THE CURRENT NUMBER. “Aussie” for March, a copy of which is just to hand, contains all the usual features of cheefulness; In addition to the special high-class work of R. G. Russom, the younger set of artists is again well represented so that an acquaintance with “ Aussie ” means an acquaintance with what is being done in black and white humorous art all over Australasia. Many names could be mentioned of the contributors that has helped to make this issue one of the brightest yet produced, but it, is sufficient to say that there are about 20 writers and artists, from all parts of Austialasia, 'represented in the issue. “Aussie’s” policy has always been to seek out and encourage new artists and writers, and this number is an indication of how successfully this policy is being carried out. If we must single out one story for special mention it must be the highly laughable one starting on page 24 and entitled “ Journalistic Camouflage.” There is a sudden laugh in every second line.
