PROGRESS OF PAEROA.

THEATRE TO BE BUILT. SYNDICATE FORMED. It is pleasing to announce that a further step towards advancing the progress of Paeroa is about to ‘-e taken as the result of 'the recent formation of a syndicate having as its objective the building of a theatre suitable for the immediate and nearfuture requirements of the town. The prompters have secured an option over a most suitable section in the main street, between the National Bank and Spry’s Corner, owned by Mr A. Cassrels, and contemplate erecting a ferro-concrete theatre thereon. The theatre, which will have a frontage of 60ft, is to have an auditorium capable of seating 800 people, and will be so constructed as to enable future extensions immediately they are.warranted. The building, which is to be constructed on the most up-to-date principles, will front Normanby Road, and provision is being made for shops on tlie ground floor and suites of offices on the first floor. The latter will he well lighted and modern in every respect. The promoters have decided shortly tp issue a prospectus, and it is anticipated that the public will readily respond, aM the building of an up-to-date theatre must inevitably give the town added Importance.
