“FAIRYLAND.”

AT SPRY’S CORNER. / Among the many shop windows in Paeroa that have just been decorated for the festive season, one that, .s causing a great deal of interest and delight is 'the fairyland window, at Spry’s. Here a fairies’ bower is shown by a number of exquisite doll figures, daintily attired in white, dancing round a maypole, each doll holding either a white or a blue streamer in its hands. Just entering the fairy bower is the queen of fairies, her pretty train being held by a dainty little page in the most approved fashion. The interested spectators of the maypole dance and the queen’s arrival comprise a number pf quaint little kewpie dolls, sitting .among the moss, watching the proceedings most interestingly, while a baby kewpie is looking on from a tiny rocker cot suspended in mid-air. The whole scheme, including all the dresses, coronets, and bead work for the fairips, was done by Mrs Yellands, manageress for Spry’s store, and to .her great credit praise is due for the originality and daintiness of the scheme. ' A visit to the inside of this shop will delight the kiddies even more than a look at the fairy window, as here every kind Of toy and book is to be fpund.
