THAMES COAST TOLLS.

COROMANDEL COUNTY AGREESAt. the Thames' County Council meeting on Wednesday a letter w.as received from the Coromandel County Council advising that it had passed the following resolution : ’’ That this Council will offer no objection to a toll gate being placed on the Coro-mandel-Thames Road by the Thames County Council, providing that all the revenue from ,the tolls is expended on the maintenance and improvement of. the Coromandel-Thames Road.” It was reported that the Council had already applied for the necessary authority to proceed with the erection of the gate and it is anticipated that this will be done at an early date. Tlie chairman, Crs. Cox and Blackett wore elected a committee to go into the matter in connection with the toll gates.
