The many friends of Mr Roy Hodson, secretary of the local Returned Soldiers’ Association, will be sorry, to hear that he is very seriously ill with pleura-pneumonia at the Thames Hospital. His condition is causing grave concern.
Mr T. Lisle, 0? Wellington, official organiser for the Reform Party, was in Paeroa oji Saturday morning in connection with matters pertaining to the interests of tJhe Reform candidate for the Ohinemuri electorate.
The Hon. Dr. Maui Poinare, C.M.G., member of the Executive Council representing the Native Race, is to .arrive in Paeroa to-day and will address a gathering of Maoris' at the Maori meetinghouse on Te Arolia Road.
