RAINFALL ON PLAINS.

A DRY MONTH. September, during ■ which there is usually a copious rainfall on the Hauraki Plains, has this year; been a very dry month, only 1.90 inches being recorded at the Lands Department’s office at Kerepeehi. This makes this year’s September one of the driest, on record. The average fall for Setpember is a,bout 3 inches.
