Last Saturday W. D. Nicholas’ trophy for firsit year and limit handicap players was won by Somervell, 66 nett; Hedge, 74 nett, second; O’Neill, 76 nett,, third. The winners of l the four-ball bestball bbgey match were Budd and Dales, 5 up, first; Bishop and Hanna, 3 up, second. Next Saturday tihe club will play a match at Paeroa. against the Thames club. All players desiring a game please notify the secrelthry before Friday. LADIES. The play for Mrs Budd’s trppliy resulted in a tie between Mrs Miller and Miss D. Poland, which is to be played off by the 9th insL The cards returned were as follows: Mrs Miller 86—16—70, Miss D. Poland 106—36— 70. Mrs Silcock 107—28—79, Miss F. Walmsley 108—21—87, Miss Baiii 114 —26—88, Mrs Bain 114—33—81, Miss I. Taylor 114—36—78, Mrs McDougall 128—36—92. On Saturday next. Paeroa plays Thames at Paeroa. The following players will represent Paeroa: Mrs Miller, Miss F. Walmsley, Miss D Poland, Mrs Silcock, Miss Bain, Miss L. Thorp, Mi's .Bairi, Miss I. Taylor.. Any player unable to play is re-quested-to notify the ladies’ secretary. There will be a general tea oh Saturday next, 7th Inst.
