There passed away suddenly on Monday last, at her Jate residence, Devonport, Mrs Mary Shaw, aged 78 years, Mrs Shaw was the mother of Mrs Adlam, of Corbett Street, Paeroa. Messrs McLeod and Lambourne, school inspectors under .tfle Auckland Education Board, are at presept paya visit pf inspection to the local District, High School. The many friends of Mr Frederick Valentine will regret to hear of his death, which took place at Auckland on Sunday last, at the age of 50 years. Deceased was for some time accountant at Messrs Le Manquais, Lamb and Go’s mill at Paeroa, and made himself very popular with those he came in contact with. To mourn his'toss he leaves a widojv and one spn and daughter.
