An application for a nilliatd sal.’cr. license was received from Mr R- G. Vernon by the Hauraki Plains County Council at its meeting on Monday. Pla’ns of the building accompanied the application. It- is proposed to build the saloon next to the Ngatea boardinghouse, and it will contain a shop and hairdressing, saloon at the front, the billiard room, to accommodate two tables, and at the -rear the living quarters will, be situated?* The Council decided to refer the application to .the health officer and to the police for reports.
