KEREPEEHI SHOW GROUND.

IS IT CENTRAL'? v '■ ’ While the Hauraki Plains A. and P. Association’s comiriitfee on Monday was discussing matters pertaining to the grounds at Kerepeehi,- Me ■w. G. Hayward asserted that opinion was very divided as tp their utility for show purposes.- One thing which condemned i the Kerepeehi grounds was, he said, that they were too close to the Paeroa show grounds; also Kerepeehi was no,t central, and that there was no hall immediately adjoining the grounds exhibits like there was at Ngatea. It' was practically impossible, he said, to hold a show at, Kerepeehi yet. It was two years too soon for Kerepeehi to have the show, and it would still be top sobn till .the road from Patetonga wOnt through Kerepeehi. He did 'not| wish to see a “white elephant” of a thousand pounds or so at Kerepeehi and the show still held at Ngatea. He agreed that Kerepeehi possessed the best grounds on the Hauraki Plains for show purposes, but they were not central enough. ' Mr Waite said the Kerepeehi ground was. an ideal place for a show, hut it was not to say that the show would be held there next year. He would pot. vote 'on Ngatea v. Kerepeehi for the show.
