Two men, J.> McMahon and W. Dunstan, were shot about and head by an explosion that occurred In a boiler at No. 2 shaft of tflio Waihi Company’s mine yesterday. It is .customary tp burn rubbish in the boiler furnace, and.lt is thought that a stray detonator cap must have got amongst the refuse, causing the explosion. Their inquiries are not considered serious.
