PROPOSEDPURIRI BRIDGE

PLAINS COUNCIL’S ATTITUDE ANOTHER POLL ESSENTIAL. The chairman of the Hauraki Plains County Council, at Mondayls meeting, reported on the recent conference with the Thames County Council with regard to the proposed Puriri Bridge. He did not think that the Council could rescind any of its previous resolutions 'concerning the bridge. The councillors were in accordance with his views, and the following resolution was passed: " In view of the altered conditions, this Council considers it necessary to take a fresh poll with regard to the Puriri Bridge as requested by the petitioners.”
