ODDFELLOWSHIP.
LOYAL JUBILEE LODGE. ; ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of! the. above l.odge of Oddfellows (Manchester Unity) was held bn Monday night, when there was a good attendance 'of brethren. The chair was occupied by N. G. Bro. J. Phillips;, the other officers present being V. G. Bro. C. A. Stembridge, P. S. Bro. W. North, E. SBro, Lawrence, I, P.. G.. Bro., Underwood. and organist P. G. Bro. Gwllliam, and Past Grands Bros. Nicholas, Power, and Bro’oks. The balance-sheet showed that all the various funds were in credit and that the branch was in a particularly sound position. The surplus fund stood a: £203. ' P. G‘ Bro. W. D; Nicholas was reelected trustee; P.G. Bro. Power and Bro. Lawrence auditors; P.G. Bro. W. North, permanent secretary; and P. G. Bro. Gwilliamtreasurer. Two new members were elected, including one ’ady member. This is the first lady member to be initiated into the lodge. . ' '■ A committee was set up to arrange for the annual social function, which will be held in April Two names were submitted for membership. P.G. Bro. Power was elected delegate to the annual conference of .the Auck*-i land district, which is to be held in Hamilton. The sub-committee Set up to revise the rules brought forward its suggestions and it was decided to hold a common meeting on March 6 to discuss them, and also deal with some other business which required notice of motion.
