THE SHOW.

FINAL The present is a busy time fop the executive committee of the Hauraki A. v and P.-Association, which met last evening to continue making arrangements for the show next Wednesday and Thursday. The president, Mr J. A. Reid, occupied the chair. THE ENTRIES. The secretary, Mr E. Edwards, anticipated that the entries would be larger than last year. The animals were largely among the prize-winners in other shows. There was a large number of sideshows coming. GENERAL. “Is the committee deputed to make arrangements for the ■smoke concert carrying on all right?” Whimsically asked the president. “To be sure we are,” answered a jovial and genial member of that festive committee. Mr W. J. Byrne offered a prize , for an amateur judging competition, consisting of a standard work on the points of. a dairy cow. It was decided to advertise the particulars.

Mr Byrne then offered two prizes ; it was also arranged by the executive to give cash prizes as well. The president said the lady friends of members had agreed tp provide lunch for bpth days of the Show. The president said in previous years it had happened that a few exhibitors had beep charged at the gate when "coming into .the domain.

A member explained that in such, cases the exhibitors had lost or forgotten to produce their passes, otherwise they would never have been

Mr A. E. Fielder agreed to take charge of the gates, which intimation was received with satisfaction.

Tn respect to the prize for a calf led by a boy, Mr A. White explained that .the intention was to give equal points for the calf and for the way it was led.—Agreed to, 50 points under each head. A working bee will assemble on the ground on Saturday and Monday next, to get the grounds and fixtures in readiness.
