CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES. Dear Patrons, —The wisdom ci’ Lady Algy in Toim Moore’s latest Goldwyn play, “Lord and Lady Algy,’’ which will be presented at the Central Theatre to-night, may be followed by any wife who has the courage and confidence wi.th. which the English lady in R. C. Carton’s famous story was endowed. Her plan con- k sisted in .leaving her husband the first time that he broke a pledge to her. The promise was only to give up be.tting; but the lure of the ring was too strong for 'the young 'lord’s sporting blood, and in a fit of weakness he indulged in .the sport of backing his favourite horse. Come and see the finish of this thrilling drama to-night. H. B. WOODS. THE FAMOUS TO-MORROW NIGHT. The above popular combination appear at the Central Theatre to morrow with an entirely new programme. This remarkable company hps gone on improving until now they appear as a ihigh-class show indeed. They have secured some very fine talent from other parts of l the world. Amongst these is Joe Vailli, a Scottish comedian and eccentric dancer, who was until recently, appearing in the Palladium, London, In his own sketcn, “Tickets Please” ; Sergeant Bert Barton, wjho is well kpown as a principals comedian of! J. 6. Williamson, Ltd.; and Frank Moran, a New Zealander, who, since the armistice was signed, has been successfully touring England * with various companies. The voices of the troupe this time are far superior to any in the past, and include Gwilym Davies, known as "the man with the golden voice.” The show still sticks to its motto, "Clean Humour,” which has made the company pre-eminent as a family show. The box plan is open at Flatt’s.
