OHINEMURI CLUB.

GUEST NIGHT. » There was a very fair attendance of members with their wives and lady friends at tjhe Ohinemuri Club on Wednesday evening last, the occasion being a club night. Some little preparation had been made for the evening, and the large social room looked particularly attractive with its trails of greenery and bow.'s of rpses and sweet peas., A very enjoyable social evening was spent by all amidst music, song, and Itory. Musical items .were rendered by Mesdames F. Symes Budd and P. HagueSmith, while Mr Torn Harris, Auckland’s popular entertainer, kept tha assembly alive witjh his humorous storjes and sketches. The evening was voted by all to be one of the best yet held by the club. Amongst the ladies present were the following: Mesdames A. Steedman, lemon crepe de chine ; 'Arch. White, black crepe de chine ; W. J. Towers*,. navy silk; Hanna (senr..), black ninon ; E. Edwards, midnight blue ‘silk ; G. H. Taylor, black net over silk; J. GMcDougall, black georgette; H. Peacock, black net relieved with cream; A. Gorrie, black velvet; F. ,S. Budd, black velvet; J. Black, white lace over black; P. Hague-Smith, Oriental silk; McLean, shot silk; Murdock, black silk; W. D.. Nicholas, navy blue glace silk with lemon trimmings ; E. Parry, black velvet; Misses Brenan, naVy blue silk; L. Thorp, blue silk ; E. Thorp, cream lace ; McGruer, pink silk; B. Walmsley, apricot crepe de chine.
