The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. reports : We held a sheep and cattle sale at Ngaruawahia on Wednesday, and yarded 258 cattle and 4509 sheep. A strong demand ruling for all classes of stock, and most of the entry was cleared at auction. Good fat cows made £9 17s to £ll 12s 6d, lighter*
weight £8 to £9 ss, 2Vis year steers £7, calves £1 15s to £2 9s, woolly lambs 14s 6d to 15s 6d, shorn lambs 13s to 15s 3d, cull lambs 10s Id to 11s, 4-toothed wethers/23s 6rl to 26s Id, 2-tooth wethers 19s 7d to 235, 4 and 5 year ewes 21s to 23, f.m. ewes 18s 6 to 22s 2d, cull ewes 14s 3d to 16s 3d.
