Huntly Musical Society

The Annual meeting of the Huntly Musical Society was held in the Miners’ Hall on Monday evening. There was a full attendance of members present. Mr H. Farrimorrd presiding. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Mr L. B. Harris, Jun., was unanimously elected President of the Society. tfe Messrs T. R. A. Smith waT elected secretary, and Mr J. Brooks, treasurer and librarian. Moved and carried : That Messrs R. Greenwell and Parkins act as trustees.

Proposed and carried: That the books be audited by two members of the Society. On the motion of Mr O. Webster: That the following members be appointed a committee for the ensuing year:— Messrs Bert. Farrimond, W. Thomas, T. R. A. Smith, W. Hampson, and J. Brooks. Carried.

Mr Bert. Farrimond was unanimously re-lected conductor, and Mr A. McLachlan deputy conductor The following accounts were passed for payment, Messrs Abbott’s, Wilson and Shaw's, and Eady and Co.
