Obituary.

Mr Harry Skellern, an old identity of Huntly, passed peacefully away at Auckland last week at "the age of 62. The deceased gentleman, who was very musical was the first conductor of the orchestra and brass bands here and was an enthusiastic member of the craft, and was recorded a Masonic funeral. The late Mr Skellern leaves two brothers to mourn their loss. Messrs R. Skellern, Huntly, and G. S. Skellern, Mamaku. It is with great regret that we have to chronicle the death of Mrs Blanchford, of Greymouth. The deceased, who, a fortnight previous to her death, was enjoying the best of health, was the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Boyle, of Huntly, and the sympathy of a large circle of friends in the mining town goes out to them in their sad bereavement. Mrs Blanchford leaves a husband and four young children to mourn their loss.
