Elliot will hold -his usual fortnightly sale to-morrow (Saturday) at to p.m. In addito some lines of furniture he will sell two houses (for removal), seed and ordinary potatoes, two pigs (about 501bs. each), dray, orion range, sewing machines, et., etc. A Rugby football match was played on Saturday last at Rangiriri, Huntly Maoris v. Churchhill Parlcehas, resulting in a win for the Maoris by 15 points to 8. The return match will be played to-morrow (Satur- 1 day). The posing team to provide a dinner. In consequence of the Vicar’s absence from Huntly last Sunday, the Intercession Service directed by the Bishop to be held at St Paul’s, could not take place. The vicar has arranged, however, to hold a special In tercession Service on Sunday evening next at 7 p.m. It is with pleasure we announce the coming of Professor Smith and his clever Maori musicians, instrumentalists, and singers. Mr Smith is a native of N.Z. but has spent 20 years in the United States where he re- ' ceived his musical education. He and his company come highly recommended, and in their part-singing ragtime music they fairly carry one away. Mr !
