Sunday Demonstration
A grand afternoon parade will be held on Sunday afternoon Semprising the Fourth Waikato Mounted Rifles, the 16th Waikato Regiment Territorial T>. Company, 76th Coy., Senior Cadets, Huntly Boy Scouts. Oddfellows’, Hibernian and Orange Lodges, and members of the Miners’s Union, will march from the Post Office at 1 p.m, where a demonstation will be held. A series of short addresses will be given by - visiting officers of the Defence Staff and local speakers. A few good selection: will be rendered by the Huntly Bands, also a march past by the troops. A collection will be taken up at the gate in aid of the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. In the event of the weather beingwet the demonstration will b. postponed. The committee have also arranged fora social in connection with the above to be held on Monday, 16th inst., in Miners’ Hall, commencing at 8 p.m. Sergt.-Major Ansel! director of cor.monies.
