The Rosary.
A fine house greeted the Within the Law Company on Wednesday night when “ The Rosary ” was staged for their farewell return visit to Huntly in the Miner’s Hall. The play dramatized by Edward E. Rose, was well staged, and mounted, and capably acted by the well kown artists. Miss Hilda Dorrington as Vera and Alice the twin sisters, and Mr Lionel Walsh as Father Kelly, were excellent in their parts, and were capably supported by Mr Theo. Boase as Bruce Wilton, Mr Hubert Lee as Skeeter, Mr George Henderson as Charlie Harrow, Mr Dunston Webb as Keuward Wright, Miss Tien Hogue as Kathleen O’Connor, and Miss Kathleen Murray as Lesura Watkins. Several pretty scenes were shown. The Garden of the County, Home of the Wiltons, and the Chapel of the Rosary, deserving special mention. It is seldom Huntly is visited by a company of this calibre, and we hope to see them again on the next New Zealand tour.
