St Paul’s Church Social

/_ very enjoyable Soci&i promoted by the Ladies Guild of St Paul's Church was held in the Miner’s Union HaSj on Wednesday evening last, when a goodly number of parishioners and others assembled to enjoy an evening’s, dancing. The music supplied by the Huntly Orchestra was right up to their usual standard and the extras played by Mrs Brooks and Miss Housley were most excellent. The floor being in good order, dancers took every advantage of it, and in each dance it was comfortably filled. The supper was presided over by the ladies of the Guild, and needless to say, gave the greatest satisfaction.

We understand that the profits from these socials are to be devoted to the Parish Hall Fund, which should benefit by a substantial amount from Wednesday evening’s effort.
