Benefit Football Match.
The match which is to be played at Huntly between Huntly and Taupiri, is to be a Benefit Match for the Hospital Ship Fund.
The last match between these teams, played at Taupiri, was very evenly contested, Taupiri winning by seven points to three, but competent judges say that the score should have been much closer, to show the relative strengths of the two teams. Since that match, Huntly players have improved enormously. Therefore a very close and strenuous game is expected, and unless Taupiri has improved also, the local team hopes to turn the tables on this occasion. The teams are as follows : HUNTLY. Full-back — A Raynor M —T. Pawson, Tumeke Punaki, Tumate Mahuta. Vi —H. Peckham, Geo; Paki. H —B. Paki. Forwards W. Callaghan; W. Raynor W. Davis, K. Martin. Emergency—J; Callaghan. TAUPIRI TEAM. Fullback, C. Smith M, Geo. Cook, F. Littlewood, A. Cook. •Hi. B. Bookham, Peni Ji, P. Nipi. Forwards —Newton, C. Mansfield, C. Mason, W. Wilson, Wright, T. Wilson. Kick-off at 3 p.m. sharp. All players must be on the ground not later than 2.30 p.m.
