Huntly Poultry & Kennel Club.

A committe meeting of the above club was held in the suproom of the King’s Hall on Wednesday evening last. Present :—Messrs H. H. Sissons (presiding) W. Riggans, W. Warren, J. Brooks, F. Littleproud, W. Thomas, Hinchco, H. Clinch, G. C. Porter, and the secretary (C. Tucker). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

Correspondence was read and dealt with. Resolved : That Mr James Thompson be asked to judge poultry and Mr J. Soler, of Wanganui, dogs. Proposed by Mr Hinchco and seconded by Mr Riggans: That the show be held on July 7th and Bth, and failing that date the 21st and 22nd--Carried. Moved by Mr Liitlep oud and seconded by Mr Riggans, that an art union be held in conjunction with the show. The drawing of prizes to take place on second day of exhibition — Carried. .

Oa thr motion of Mr Porter, seconded by Mr Thomas: That the secretary be instructed to get quotations front the Star and Herald for a block (only) suitable for prize cards. Mr J. Brooks moved an amendment seconded by Mr Clinch : That the block Jand printing be executed at the Star office. The original motion to obtain the block only was carried. Resolved —That the secretary be authorised to get members’ tickets and receipt books printed at at the PRESS office —carried.
