Huntly Rod and Gun Club.

The annual meeting ol the Huntly Rod and Gun Club was held in the King’s Hall on Tuesday, March 2nd. The President, Mr James Elliot, occupied the chair. The secretary, Mr Garland dealt with the yearly report, when Mr Elliot moved its adoption, seconded by Mr Devitt. The balance sheet was dealt with showing a credit balance of £1 12s plus £23 from the Huntly Rowing Club, which places the club in a healthy financial position. Office-bearers for the ensuing term were elected as follows : —Hon. President, President of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society ; President, Mr E. J. Farrell; VicePresidents, Messrs J. Hughes and W. Speirs ; Secretary, Mr J. Hughes; Treasurer, Mr Devitt. Executive 'Committee, Messrs Brocklebank, C. Starr, A. Raynor, M. Kelleher, T. Partridge, J. Hinchco, and W. Ruston ; shooting Committee, Messrs W. Speirs, T. Stephenson, and M. Kelleher. At the termination of the meeting a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr James Elliot on retiring from the office of President of the Club and also to the Secretary and Treasurer. The annual report will appear in our next issue.
