The members of the Huntly Rod and Gun Club held a seven bird shooting match on Saturday afternoon last on the Club grounds. The attendance, despite the excellent weather was poor, while the shooting was not up to the usual standard. The prize was a set of carvers and the shooting resulted as under : C. Smith 1 T. Stephenson ... 2 A five bird sweepstake was shot off with the following result : W. Ruston ... 1 C. Smith ... ... 2 C. Smith, T. Moir, and Edw. Kelleher tied for second place, but in the shoot off, C. Smith was the successful competitor.
