Sunday School Union.
H-TTNTLY BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the above branch was held on Tuesday evening last, eight members being present. The resignation of the Secretary, Mr L. H. McCalman, who has left to take up duty at Trentham, was received and accepted with regret, a motion that a letter of appreciation of his services be sent him being carried unanimously. Mr Aspinall read a paper on “ How to keep our Sunday School scholars after they have left Day School.” The paper evoked a very animated and well maintained discussion. Many remedies were proposed, and although the discussion was inconclusive, was yet very illuminating. It was decided to carry on the , discussion at next meeting. The preliminary reports in connection with the accounts of the combined picnic were presented, and ordered to stand over till next meeting.
