Wedding Bells.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised ot Taniwha on Wednesday last by the Rev. Father O’Doherty of Auckland, when Miss Grace Martin, eldest daughter of Mr F. T. Martin, Pine Villa, Taniwha, was married to Mr W. Delahunty of the N.Z. Railway Department, stationed at Papatoitoi. The bride, who was dressed in white crepe de chine and lace overdress, trimmed with orange blossoms, and carried a hand-
some shower bouquet of cream roses and asparagus fern, was given away by her father, Mr Fred T. Martin.
The bridesmaids were Miss Alma Martin, Miss Eva Martin (sisters of the bride) and Miss Eva Donovan (cousin of the bride). The bridegroom was supported by Mr Hall. The bride’s mother was very tastefully dressed in grey silk. In the evening, a reception and dance were held in the Waerenga Hall, which was crowded with friends of the happy couple, there heing about 150 present. The Bride and Bridegroom opened the Ball to the strains of tho Wedding March. The floor being in good order and the music, supplied by Meredith’s String Band from Auckland, being all that could be desired, the festivities were kept up till a late hour, the guests being loth to end such an enjoyable evening.
On Thursday, the happy pair departed by the Rotorua Express for their honeymom, carrying with them the sincere wishes ot their numerous friends for a long and happy married life. The catering for the Breakfast and Reception was in the capable hands of Mr. R. Barber of Auckland.
