MINERS’ HALL. XMAS NIGHT. Mr. Calder announces he has secured specially for Xmas night, that unrivalled reproduction entitled “ Scrooge ” This famous picture which is 3000 feet long is adapted from Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol and the leading character “ Scrooge ” is faithfully portrayed by the eminent English Actor, Sir Seymour Hicks. The story is well known to all readers and contains a beautiful moral, specially applicable to the festive season. A brilliant programme of infinite variety, supports the star feature and in addition, one of the very latest war pictures, entitled “ The Battle before Antwerp ” will be screened. This is a genuine film and shows every incident as it happened. Being Christmas night the performance wiii start a* 8. 15. and are advised to secure their seats early. On Saturday (Boxing night) the management will have much pleasure in presenting “ QuoVadis ” to the public of Huntly, This is a mighty dramatic spectacle of gorgeous splendour and is over 8000 ft. long. It is the Royal Command picture play of the century and contains the most realistic scenes of “ The Collosseum, ” Burning of Rome ” “Nero’s Atrocities” Martyrdom of Christians, and the great Gladiatorial Combats. Special music will be played to suit this beautiful film and the anthem “ Shepherd of Souls ” will be rendered during the screening, by a select quartette. Quo Vadis will be repeated again on Monday night. Patrons are advised to book their seats at the Huntly Press Office, to avoid disappointment. Prices as usual.
