On Friday night King, the famous sleuth, works out a marine mystery after his unique system and in a clever and highly scientific matter unearths the criminals. Th • WAR topical, which will he a continuous feature at the King's, is supported by other interest —and laughter exciting films of g -it variety and intense, human interest. “ Sentenced f«»r Lia\ ” a story of a broken c. -ecr. vividly presented by m >at capable and talented company, occupies the principal place t.n Saturday night’s programme. The WAR
topical shows what the/ allied Servian army is doing, while the Keyst ne Comedy, “ Her New Beau ”, with other comedies and dramas. gives a fi lip to the whole. On Monday, the WAR picture is of special interest. It takes the. beholder to Samoa, and shows what cur own New Zealanders are doing there. “The Power of the Cross”, a -dory of circumstantial evidence involving a young clergyman in a murder charge, is a most powerful drama, and will be preceded and followed by other films of varied excellence. Among the comedies is | Pimple feels the Cold ”, another of the famous Pimple series which are engagingly popular. Lovers of the tpiimated pie: me should not fail to see these pro grammes.
