Huntly Tennis Club.

OPENING OF THE COURTS. The tennis courts were 'formally opened for the season last Saturday, when, favoured by excellent weather, a most enjoyable afternoon was passed, the hospitality of the Huntly ladies being highly appreciated by the numerous visitors, by the players and the spectators. In a brief speech the president, Mr F. W. Garland, welcomed the visitors, and expressed the hope that all would thoroughly enjoy themselves. After predicting a successful season he declared the courts open for play. Numerous games were played, the courts being well patronised and the sets close and exciting. The ground was in good order and played up to expectation.
