Relief Fund Concert

A very enjoyable and successful promenade concert was helc in the Miners’ Union Hall or Wednesday night in aid of the Mine Disaster Relief Fund, th< organisers being Messrs J. Eves and I. Carlyon who were well supported by an energetic committee. The Huntly Orchestra, consistin" of Messrs Farrimond, Brooks, McLaohlan, Cairns, Smith, Patterson,Brondbent, and Wentworth gratuitously supplied a splendid programme, the various selections being very highly appreciated. Songs were sung by Miss Bartle, Messrs Reece and Knapper, the vocal items as well as the dances beiug greatly enjoyed.
