Fancy Dress Ball.
Arrangements for the forthcoming Fancy Dress Ball to be held on Wednesday, September 2nd., are now well in hand and the committee has left no stone unturned in its endeavours to provide for the comfort and convenience of dancers and spectators, who, it is anticipated, will be present in large numbers. The judging of costumes is being left in the hands of five well known ladies, and a special prize is being awarded for the best ‘ Home-made"” dress. Spectators’ tickets are no.v on sale at the Press! Office wheatseats may also be reserved. The commissariat department is in excellent, and capable hands; the music is guaranteed; the door will be beyond reproach; and, altogether, the function promises to be the most successful of its kind ever held in the district.
