School Staff.

During the temporary absence of Major W. Kay, the Headmaster, with the Expeditionary Force, Mr F. W. Garland will act as Head-Master and Mr J. Carmody as first assistant. On Tuesday, Miss Emily Young joined the . staff . cf ■ the. school as temporary fourth assistant, while the place of Miss (A M. Jory, who will be attached to the staff-cf the Birkdale School at the end of the present month, will be succeeded by Miss- Maud W. Woodford who has had nearly five years’ experience as a teacher. Mr A. L. Sheer.an is also undergoing a short probationary period of instruction in teaching.
