Huntly Liberals.
AN ASSOCIATION FORMED. A meeting of liberals was held in the supper room of the Miners’ Hall on Monday night, M r J. P. Bailey presiding over a good attendance. It was unanimously resolved to form a society to be known as the Huntly Liberal Association, and, together with a strong executive, the fallowing officebearers were elected: President, Mr J. P.Bailey; Vice-Pre-sidents, Dr J. G. Macdiarinid and F. Harris; Secretary, Mr G. A. James. It was decided to ask Sir Joseph Ward to address a great liberal rally to be held on a date that would suit his convenience, while the secretary was instructed to get into touch with the various liberal organisations in the electorate with a view to arrange for a meeting at which there might be chosen a candidate to contest the Raglan seat against Mr R. F. Bollard, M.P., at the next election.
