Miss Rainger and Mr Roy Barnsdale spent the Easter holidays with Mrs F. Littleproud. Mr and Mrs J. Watt and family left Huntly for the Old C ,untry on Tuesday night, intending to break their journey at Feilding where they will make a short stay. Mr E. George, who has purchased the tailoring business so successfully carried on by Mr J. Watt, arrived at the beginning of the week. Keri Toke te Ahu and the large number of natives whowent to Auckland to give the “King” a send off, returned on Saturday night. Messrs F. Littleproud, R. Niccols, E. J. Farrell, Alex and John McKinnon, as representing this district, were present at the annual meeting of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society held last Wednesday evening. Mr W. A. Joll represented Taupiri, while the representative of the newly instituted club at Ngaruawahia was Mr Bilkey.
