Taupiri.

TENNIS. The Bucklan.d tennis players met Taupiri at Taupiri on Friday last, and after a series of pleasant matches the local players came eff winners by 120 to 87 games. The courts were in fine condition, and some excellent play was witnessed. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the ladies belonging to the club.

LIBRARY. At a meeting of the Library Committee it was decided to have the building lined, and to procure a good lamp. The past year, the secretary stated, had proved highly successful, the revenue earned (including a Government subsidy of £7 14s lid) totalling over twenty pounds. FOOTBALL. At a meeting of the Taupiri Football Club (Northern Union) it was decided to enter again for League competitions. The club promises to be fairly strong this season, and there are strong hopes of the club being able to place a junior team in the field. ROWING. After a highly successful season the Taupiri Rowing Club has ceased operations until spring comes round again. At the trials held to mark the close of the season, three crews competed, the successful one consisting of W. Waring (stroke), Bookham, Perry and M. Wilson.
